Drone airspace, TFRs, and weather on one map.
Oriten is a flight planning app for drone pilots. See FAA airspace, temporary flight restrictions, and LAANC grid ceilings, check the forecast against your limits, then keep your flight log and aircraft maintenance in one place.
Free 14-day trial for eligible new subscribers. iPhone and iPad. United States coverage.
Everything you check before a drone flight, in one app
Size up a location before you drive to it: airspace, restrictions, wind, and light in the same view. After the flight, log it and keep your aircraft records current.
FAA airspace and LAANC grid ceilings
Controlled airspace, special use airspace, and UAS facility map grid ceilings drawn from public FAA data, each with a "Data as of" date.
TFRs with active times
Temporary flight restrictions drawn on the map and refreshed while you use it, with their active windows in plain language.
Weather Check against your limits
Wind, gusts, precipitation, visibility, temperature, and dew point scored against the limits you set for your aircraft, as conditions met, marginal, or outside your limits.
Wind at altitude
Surface wind plus estimated wind at 100 ft and 400 ft, so you have a sense of what your aircraft meets above the treeline.
Offline packs
Download the airspace for an area and use it with no signal. Download dates are always shown, and older data is flagged before you rely on it.
Space weather and GPS
Planetary K-index from NOAA SWPC plus GNSS satellite estimates, so you can judge geomagnetic conditions before you trust the lock.
Golden hour and sun position
Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, twilight, and sun position for any location and date, computed on your device.
Drone flight logbook
Record each flight, note anomalies, and build a running history for every aircraft, kept privately on your device.
Fleet and maintenance tracking
Track every aircraft you own with its own details, maintenance records, and service reminders.
Preflight checklists
Ready-to-edit pre- and post-flight checklists you tailor to your equipment, payload, and company policy.
Saved locations and plans
Save the spots you fly and your flight plans, and see their forecast at a glance.
Your thresholds
Set wind, gust, temperature, precipitation, K-index, and dew point spread limits from your manufacturer's manual. Oriten scores against them.
Built for Part 107 pilots, recreational flyers, and aerial photographers
Part 107 operators
Check airspace, grid ceilings, and TFRs for a job site ahead of time, then keep the flight log and maintenance records your operation needs.
Recreational pilots
Understand the airspace around a park or field before you go, and get a plain read on whether the wind and weather fit your aircraft's limits.
Drone photographers
Line up golden hour, sun position, and the weather window for the shot, with the airspace picture on the same map.

Your records stay on your device
No account, no login, no ads, and no analytics. Your flight log, fleet, checklists, plans, and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad. To show airspace and TFRs, the app requests map data from Oriten's server, which keeps standard request logs for 30 days. The Privacy Policy lists every connection the app makes.
Frequently asked questions
Does Oriten authorize drone flights or submit LAANC requests?
No. Oriten shows LAANC grid ceilings and airspace from public FAA data for planning and situational awareness. It does not submit LAANC requests or grant any authorization. Where authorization is required, obtain it through a LAANC service supplier before flying.
What airspace data does Oriten show?
Controlled airspace, special use airspace, LAANC UAS facility map grid ceilings, and temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) with their active times, all derived from public FAA sources. Every layer shows a "Data as of" date so you know how current it is. See Data Sources.
Does Oriten work offline?
Yes. You can download offline packs for an area and use them with no signal. The download date is always shown, and older data is flagged or hidden by default before you rely on it, because TFRs and restrictions change often.
How much does Oriten cost?
Oriten is a free download that requires a subscription: $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Eligible new subscribers start with a 14-day free trial. Payment is handled by Apple, and you can cancel any time in Settings.
Do I need an account to use Oriten?
No. There is no account and no login. Your flight log, fleet, checklists, plans, and settings are stored on your device.
Which devices and regions does Oriten support?
Oriten runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. Airspace, TFR, and LAANC data covers the United States.
Planning aid, not a briefing. Oriten is for situational awareness. It is not an official source of aeronautical information and does not provide flight authorization. Data may be delayed or incomplete. Verify weather, airspace, TFRs, and regulations with official FAA sources before every flight. Safety & Aviation Data Disclaimer
